Step 3: Change the calendar color to match your team's colors.
You'll see that your football team’s calendar now appears under "Other Calendars".
Google Calendar will choose a default color, but wouldn’t you prefer the calendar be displayed in your team’s colors? Here’s how to change the color.
Click on the team's calendar and click on the 3 dots on the right which show the options.
Choose one of your team's colors from the list that appears.
If you're a super fan and want one of the EXACT team colors, you can choose a custom color.
First, in a separate window, go to the website TEAM COLOR CODES. com.
Click on NFL from the top menu
Scroll to find your team and then click on it.
Scroll to find your team's hex codes
Double click on the code to highlight it, then do CONTROL C for a PC or COMMAND C for a Mac to copy the code
Back in Google Calendar, choose the OPTIONS menu (the 3 dots) then click + to add a custom color
Paste the code in the Hex box. Be sure it begins with the # or number sign. Tap SAVE.
STEP 4: Verify the schedule is added to your calendar.
Google will import your team's regular season games (not the preseason) and by default they will be in your local time zone.
In your calendar, find the first week of NFL football (which is September 7 for 2023) and be sure your team's game appears.
Or quickly use the monthly view in Google Calendar just to confirm your team’s games appear.
That's it! It's simple to add your team's calendar in just a few clicks, AND you can customize how it appears on your devices to be your team's colors.
Wishing your team best of luck this NFL football season unless, of course, they are playing the Chiefs! Go team!
