Autumn is my very favorite time of year. I love wearing skinny jeans, baggy sweatshirts and boots. Give me cool temps and falling leaves over the scorching days of summer anytime.
The first "fall food" that comes to my mind is always apples.
Thankfully apples are amazingly healthy AND very versatile. Since many of my clients are following the 21 Day Fix meal plan, I wanted to gather a list of some yummy fall apple favorites.

1. Baked Apple Chips
Try this easy and delicious apple chip recipes. Great for snacking and you can feel good about giving these chips to your kids!

2. Apple Crisp
I have my own lazy, apple crisp for one, but this recipe is the real deal. Easy to throw together and perfect to serve the family on a cool autumn evening.

3. Apple Harvest Muffins
Enjoy these moist & delish muffins totally guilt-free. Each muffin has less than 100 calories. They make a great snack, breakfast or dessert.

4. Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
There is nothing more comforting on a cool autumn morning than a bowl of steaming hot oatmeal. Add apples, cinnamon, spice AND a little protein punch and you've got a morning winner. Make extra for the kiddos too!

5. Apple & Butternut Squash Soup
I love how Granny Smith apples add a bit of both sweetness and tanginess to this creamy squash soup. Make this recipe dairy-free by substituting almond milk for skim.

6. Baked Apples
My mom used to make baked apples and it was always such a treat smelling apples, brown sugar and cinnamon baking while we were eating dinner. This recipe is a tiny bit healthier (mom used butter and lots of sugar!). Feel free to add raisins, dried cranberries and walnuts or pecans. Mmmmm!

7. Apple Pie Shakeology
I'm usually a chocolate Shakeology drinker so I'm always looking for ways to spice up my vanilla. You will literally spice up your drink with cinnamon and applesauce. I haven't tried this with the Greenberry flavor but I bet it would be delish too.

8. Pork and Apple Skewers
This recipe was a tricky one for me to wrap my head around because I have a personal "no fruit and meat combo" rule. Totally weird, I'll admit. I ate the pork and apples separately, but the family enjoyed the recipe as written, lol.

9. Homemade Applesauce
Fresh lemon juice and lemon peel was an interesting addition to the applesauce recipe. I like to leave my applesauce chunky, but you can make it as smooth as you like. And then use some in the Apple Pie Shakeology recipe up above!

10. Quinoa and Apple Stuffing
I love stuffing but, eating gluten-free, I don't enjoy the traditional kind anymore. Sad face for sure. But I do like quinoa and this recipe makes an interesting combo for an autumn side dish.
